Scientific Output from Leeds

 

During the period April 1994 -- March 1995, the group at the University of Leeds contributed to case studies of models of dynamical systems. We have concentrated on the following types of spatially extended dynamical systems:

Of primary interest have been cellular (discrete space) space systems, CMLs and CAs, because the notion of discrete space and local connectivity corresponds closely with the notion of parallel digital systems. Continuous state systems are closely related to analogue computing systems. We have initially concentrated on dynamical system models of wave phenomena
